Job Description
An understanding of Automotive electricals, electrical components, power & signal distribution system. A work experience in the vehicle program-level engineering support activity and the person should have experience of working independently on Schematics creation and validation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Understanding of Automotive electricals, electrical components, power & signal distribution system
- Work experience in the Vehicle Program level engineering support activity
- Understanding of various vehicle electrical components and their functionality (Alternator, starter, battery, fuse box, wire connector, terminal, relay, fuses, etc)
- Understanding component selection (wire sizing, fusing, grounding selection) also the associated components (eg. Fuse box, voltage drop & short circuit understanding)
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of 2D wiring harness & 2 D schematics using Capital
- Mentor Graphics – schematic and harness 2D drawing creation
- Understanding of connector selection criteria and should be familiar with various connector types
- Should have experience of working independently on Schematics creation and validation
- Should have experience in Schematic and harness synchronization and DRC
- Should generate an alternate concept for the integration of electrical /electronic components after studying the product profile requirements including component packaging.
- Should have an understanding of different standards (e.g. DIN, SAE, JASO/JIS, ISO ) & validation design change impacts
- Awareness of VA/VE techniques, cost reduction, optimization & feasibility verification
- Prepares project documentation, and participates in design review at various design phases.
- Good Knowledge of Team Centre PLM
